OUR MISSION…

JAWS was founded by A passion for crocodilians and wildlife. Fueled by the pursuit of conservation, education and the commitment to provide sanctuary for those in need.

CAPTIVE…

At JAWS we hope to create a resource for proper care of captive crocodilians for both individuals and institutions.

We believe education is necessary for the cultivation of both ethical captive practices and conservation-minded perceptions in the general public. Captive crocodilians used to educate and inform the public will ultimately aid species that are largely vulnerable and endangered. We hope to initiate a captive exchange program in which we provide the opportunity to retire education animals to low stress homes in exchange for a younger, more appropriately sized animal to be used for said educational purposes.

Jaws will be a sanctuary for misplaced, captive crocodilians, giving them refuge sculpted specifically to their needs.

WILD…

We love alligators and believe in Florida their options should extend beyond euthanasia or a life of gator wrestling. We hope to become the third option for these ‘nuisance’ alligators where they can spend the remainder of their days living a naturalistic, low impact life.

CONSERVE…

Conservation through land preservation and captive breeding. We aim to preserve vital tracts of land in biodiversity hotspots around the world and create strong breeding programs for species that face the largest threats and are currently underrepresented in many breeding operations.

The first crocodile I ever caught was at nine years of age, and it was a rescue.
